I don’t read that much manga that fall in the shonen category. A lot of it is action-adventure, fantasy, or thrillers. I usually stick to anime when it comes to that. Although, I do want to try and read a few series if I can. Below, is a beginning list of shonen manga that I want to try and read.

The Heroic Legend of Arslan by Yoshiki Tanaka and Hiromu Arakawa // Status: Ongoing

Noragami by Adachitoka // Status: Complete
Yato is a homeless god. He doesn’t even have a shrine, not to mention worshippers! So to achieve his ambitious goals, he’s set up a service to help those in need (for a small fee), hoping he’ll eventually raise enough money to build himself the lavish temple of his dreams. Of course, he can’t afford to be picky, so Yato accepts all kinds of jobs, from finding lost kittens to helping a student overcome bullies at school. – Kodansha Comics
Blue Exorcist by Kazue Kato // Status: Complete
Raised by Father Fujimoto, a famous exorcist, Rin Okumura never knew his real father. One day a fateful argument with Father Fujimoto forces Rin to face a terrible truth—the blood of the demon lord Satan runs in Rin’s veins! A Silent Voice by Yoshitoki Oima // Status: Complete
Shoya is a bully. When Shoko, a girl who can’t hear, enters his elementary school class, she becomes their favorite target, and Shoya and his friends goad each other into devising new tortures for her. But the children’s cruelty goes too far. Shoko is forced to leave the school, and Shoya ends up shouldering all the blame. Six years later, the two meet again.
