There’s only three days left in #ARCAUGUST. I don’t think I’ll be reading anymore ARCs this month. And what a month it was.
Week four was a pretty good ARC reading week.
Books Read: 5 (technically 4, but I’ll explain)
- The Reader by Traci Chee // Goodreads
- Sacrifice by Cindy Pon // Goodreads
- Risuko by David Kudler // Goodreads // Review
- Into Aether by L.M. Fry // Goodreads
- Bound by Birthright by Janeal Falor // Goodreads
I completed my goal of reading the five ARCs I had for the month. I’m pretty proud and surprised by what I’ve done.
So, the ‘technically 4’ thing – I didn’t completely read Bound by Birthright. It was my final ARC for the month and it was not what I expected. For a lack of better words, it was disappointing. I read the first third of the book, but skimmed through the rest. It just wasn’t worth my time. Into Aether wasn’t up to my expectations either. I trudged through that one.
All in all, #ARCAugust was a success. Thank you Octavia and Shelly (over at Read.Sleep.Repeat) for hosting the challenge.
I still have The Bone Witch to read, but I think I’m going to leave that for September. I need at least something to look forward too.
How has your month gone? What are some books you loved? What are some books you weren’t so fond of?
