Let The Wind Rise // Book Review

Let The Wind Rise [1]

Title: Let The Wind Rise (Sky Fall #3)

Author: Shannon Messenger

Genre: Fantasy, Paranormal

Pub: April 2016

What an emotional and satisfying ending to the Sky Fall trilogy. Audra and Gus are trapped within Raiden’s fortress and Vane is determined to rescue them both, despite the Gale Forces obvious disapproval.

The last installment of the Sky Fall trilogy is gripping, full of action, and down-right stressful in some instances. I’ll be honest, some parts had me in tears *ahem*.

I am once again in love with the character’s voices and characterizations. Vane’s humor and sarcasm came through (sometimes they sounded so outrageous, but I still love ya Vane) and Audra’s thoughtful and courageous actions are definitive of her character.

The story was engrossing and although I was taken by surprise by the turn of events, I needed to read to the end.

Let The Wind Rise [2]I liked how Messenger furthered Vane’s and Audra’s relationship. It felt realistic (if that’s possible, they’re slyphs!) to their story and to the chaos going on around them.

I’m so glad I read this series and although I’m sad to see it end, it is a great adventure to tag along with.

I recommend the Sky Fall trilogy to fans of paranormal/supernatural genre fans, those who enjoy dual pov, and action with romance thrown in.
